Sundown is hitting the Gold Coast this May!

Southport CBD is set to score a brand new one-day music event this May – and it’s completely FREE!

Sundown, the ultimate pop-up music event that celebrates our homegrown musos, is set to take over Nerang Street, Southport on Saturday 25 May, 2024.

Get ready, Gold Coast. Southport CBD is about to shake things up with an epic one-day music bash this May – and guess what? It won’t cost you a dime!

Introducing Sundown, the pop-up music fest we’ve all been waiting for: hitting Nerang Street, Southport on Saturday 25 May.

Sundown is the freshest addition to the Gold Coast’s cultural scene, bringing together local talents and national music legends like Jem Cassar-Daly (fresh from claiming a Queensland Music Award this month!), Hope D, and The Rions. It’s gonna be a jam-packed day of awesome tunes and mouth-watering eats.

The party kicks off at 2pm sharp, with performances by some of our favourite local acts, including Gold Coast Music Award finalists Buttered and Chutney, plus Lyric, the 2023 Gold Coast Music Prize champ, and DJ Cory Hotline. And the fun doesn’t stop there! After the main stage wraps up, you can keep the good vibes going at one of Southport’s live music spots, with gigs lined up into the evening.

Hungry? No problem! There’ll be plenty of local eateries and food trucks serving up tasty bites, and for the grown-ups, Young Henrys and Carafe Wines will be on hand with a pop-up bar to quench your thirst.

Best part? Thanks to the City of Gold Coast and Live Music Australia, this whole shindig won’t cost you a cent!

Excited? Us too! RSVP on Facebook to stay in the loop about all things Sundown on Saturday, 25 May. Trust us, you won’t wanna miss it!
