Spotlight on the Local Legends Hitting the Live Music Stage for BLEACH* Festival Weekend One
Get ready for an incredible weekend of live and loud Gold Coast music as the Live Music Stage gets ready to light things up for three days of FREE tunes at BLEACH* Festival.
Running across both weekends of BLEACH* Festival, August 2-4 and August 9-11, the Love Your Local North Burleigh Hub will play host to the Live Music Stage, curated by the Gold Coast Music Network, showcasing some of the Gold Coast’s finest musical talent.
Weekend One, kicking off this Friday, will showcase 15 Gold Coast artists including Gold Coast Music Awards finalists alongside emerging local bands and artists of all genres, celebrating the diversity of our local music industry. Whether your taste leans towards indie rock, soulful funk, or high-energy electronic beats, the BLEACH* Live Music Stage promises an electrifying all-ages experience filled with unforgettable performances.
With back-to-back live music sets from Friday to Sunday consider this the epicentre of good vibes. Don’t miss this opportunity to celebrate local talent and experience an epic weekend of local and live music!

FRIDAY 2 AUGUST
Huxley & Friel

Huxley and Friel are both independently deeply refined and experienced standalone musicians from the Gold Coast. Coming together over a shared love of the guitar and a deep interest in Bluegrass music, the two have certainly created something greater than the sum of its parts. Primarily an acoustic guitar duo, both Huxley and Friel are adept multi-instrumentalists. These two will lure you into a rich tonic landscape through traditional instruments such as the mandolin, slide guitar and vocals, with more modern sounds like the electric guitar and piano/keyboard.
Emily Grace Taylor

Prepare to be mesmerised by the captivating voice of country-folk artist Emily Grace Taylor. Known for her ethereal vocals and emotive lyrics, Emily’s songwriting blends both nostalgia and the sensibilities of modern pop. She’s received high rotation on ABC Country radio, editorial playlisting, and supported established acts such as Boy and Bear, Sam Teskey, Kyle Lionhart, Adalita and Darlinghurst in the live setting, and now she’s hitting the BLEACH* Live Music Stage.
Haystack Mountain Hermits

Ring in your Friday evening with toe-tapping tunes from Haystack Mountain Hermits! This family act blends rich harmonies with foot-stomping rhythms to create an irresistible folk experience. Athena Joy

Jerome Williams ★

KLACEY is an up-and-coming dream-pop artist, making waves with her dynamic live band shows and catchy singles. Having kicked off the year with her very own headline launch show, followed by shows all over South-East Queensland, KLACEY is consistently releasing new music all whilst studying a Bachelor of Contemporary Music full-time. Expect acoustic, emotive vocals and an all-consuming performance that effortlessly blends pop and folk genres.
Ollie Twohill

Genre: Celtic-Folk/Rock
Ollie Twohill is a heavy acoustic folk-rock artist who plays a mix of energetic, melodic riffed tunes driven by introspection and heart. Finessing the difficult path of playing songs of hope and love, along with loss and trauma, Ollie derives influences from Australian folk, 2000’s pop punk, and the groundswell of talent around the Gold Coast. Ollie has shared the stage with the likes of Budjerah, Tay Oskee, Kyle Lionhart and The Buckleys – and now he’s bringing his high energy performance to the Live Music Stage
Tomorrow’s Forecast ★

Tomorrow’s Forecast is guaranteed to brighten your Sunday afternoon with their infectious indie-pop tunes. Influenced by mid-2000s indie rock and nostalgia, this female-fronted indie band blends fresh lyricism with deep perspectives, lively guitars, and fun slacker beats, creating unforgettable musical moments. They’ve played alongside Hockey Dad, Benee, The Moving Stills, and Babe Rainbow, gaining attention for their charming indie pop sound, and have earned a place as a band-to-watch on the Gold Coast.
Atticus Chimps ★

Genre: Alternative Rock
Signing out the first weekend of the BLEACH* Live Music Stage is the high-energy rock of Atticus Chimps. Hailing from Tamborine Mountain, Atticus Chimps is a two-piece band that brings a rebellious spirit and sound to the stage. Performing heavy rock anthems that convey a message of heartbreak, self-actualization, dissatisfaction with authority, and alienation from society, their thunderous riffs, raspy vocals and upbeat energy typify their sound and made them a stand out.
