Something to Talk About in Mudgeeraba

As the weather warms up and the sun lingers a little longer, the picturesque Mudgeeraba Village will play host to a talented range of local musicians on Friday evenings.

Some may remember a gig from the pre-covid days called “Summertime Sessions” – well this series of events will be similar, but with the added element of interviews with local elders and leaders in the Mudgeeraba and Hinterland community.

Councillor Glenn Tozer will be chatting with a range of interesting local people, including:

  • Earle Hinschen, co-founder of the Doyles Art Award
  • Colleen Hope, Principal of Mudgeeraba Special School
  • Brad Hauck, First Officer at Mudgeeraba Rural Fire Brigade
  • Ken Phillips, long-time community volunteer
  • Joan Rudd, Miss Hinterland 1965
  • Sergeant Sean Miles, Mudgeeraba Police

These half hour interviews will be followed by musical sets from talented local artists, including:

  • Georgia Hoareau (10 Nov)
  • Jayson Shep (10 Nov)
  • Fletcher Babb (17 Nov)
  • Felicity Lawless (24 Nov)
  • Ms Eleneous (24 Nov)
  • Matt Collins (1 Dec)
  • Koolz (8 Dec)
  • Sunny Luwe (15 Dec)

Bring your picnic rug or camp chair to Cuddihy Park and settle in for an evening of quality entertainment in the heart of the hinterland. There are plenty of delicious food and drink options within walking distance if you’re feeling peckish.

See you there every Friday 5:30pm-7:30pm from 10 November to 15 December.
